Korean Beauty Product Review: Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling Gel

Annyeong, chingus!

How’s 2018 going on for you guys? The start of my year is quite awesome because I’ve already fixed my schedule for my last semester in college, which means I’ll be graduating by June or July! Woohoo!

I’ve actually got a lot of plans for 2018, and one of those is my Trip to Korea on October! I’ve been processing my documents lately for my passport and visa, while checking out the airlines for a cheaper airfare. Too bad I wasn’t able to get one on JejuAir. The website was so laggy, and after a few minutes, the seats were already sold. Bummer! The good news is, I’ve booked a hostel in Myeongdong – which I’ll share with you next time.

For now, let’s talk about to my second blog post this 2018, shall we?

Today’s Korean beauty product for acne that I will review is Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling Gel! I waited quite a long time before writing a review because I wanted to finish it first to be able to give you my real experience about it – whether it did its job or not.

Honestly, I am not new to this kind of product as I have tried one before, which came from a different brand. It’s called Porefying Balm from iWhite. It worked well for me but I didn’t buy the bigger size because I wanted to try the one from Onsaemeein first.
Onsaemeein was a brand that I was unfamiliar with. I didn’t know what products they sell, but I came across their catalogue a few times on Althea Korea. You see, Korea has a wide range of brands that sell beauty products and it would definitely be hard to know each one of them. The ones that I knew were the most popular brands across the globe like Innisfree, Tony Moly, Laneige, and the likes.

I just decided to try Onsaemeein after reading a blog post about this product.

I admit, one of the factors that convinced me to buy it was the packaging. The colors were so girly and simple and the fact that the description was very easy to understand. There are no exaggerated comments or whatsoever.
Of course, I bought this from the only online shop that I trust when it comes to K-Beauty items – Althea Korea, for P370.00. Not more than $9, if converted. (Create an account using my special link and you’ll get a discount for your first order!)

It comes in a box, and a small spatula to scoop the product out, which is a plus because it is hygienic. There isn’t any overpowering scent or whatever, unlike the peeling gel I used from the different brand. (The smell was too bad! Eek!)

The consistency of this gel isn’t too thick or heavy, just perfect for an oily and acne-prone skin like mine. It’s actually similar to hair products.
I use this by scooping a bit out and using my fingers to spread it all over my face, avoiding the eye area. Of course, I make sure my hands are clean before doing that!

Then I let it sit for a few seconds, before slightly massaging my face in a circular motion. By slightly, I meant gently. Please don’t rub your face too harshly, especially if you have a sensitive skin.

Two minutes later, I’d rinse it with water and then take a bath. After pat drying my face with a soft face towel, my face is very smooth and clean.
All in all, I’ve had a wonderful experience with this peeling gel. It made my face more clean, and it also flattened some of my little bumps!

Packaging: The design is very simple, and the description is very straightforward. Also, the spatula gets another point for its efficiency! 5/5

Cleaning Effect: ABSOLUTELY! 5/5

Is it worth the price? YEAH. It is a little expensive, but one tub goes a long way! 5/5

Will I repurchase? Actually, it’s on my cart already!
After I have proven its worthiness, Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling Gel is officially declared as one of my holy grails! Woohoo!

Did I mention that you can also use this on the different parts of your body?

So trust me, you’ll surely regret it if you don’t put this on your bag right now!
What are your thoughts about this wonder product? Let me know what you’re thinking!

  2. This looks nice. I’m just quite confused. Is it like an exfoliating scrub? I thought it was like a peeling mask but it seems like an exfoliating scrub. I’d like to try it then. Can you compare it with a cleansing balm? Just if possible. I’m quite torn if this is better than getting a cleansing balm. Thanks!

    • Hi! This is actually an exfoliating scrub. According to some Koreans, it should not be used daily like how you would use a cleansing balm, since it can rip off the moisture in your face. I suggest that you use it twice or thrice a week for better results. 🙂

Thanks for joining and for dropping by! 💕
